“Taste of Simply Kansas” Event


This year will mark the inaugural “Taste of Simply Kansas” event, featuring food products
from the Simply Kansas trademark program. The Kansas Department of Commerce and USDA
Rural Development will highlight their collaborative support of local and regional food
initiatives and introduce the USDA and Commerce programs which support food-based small
business ventures. Wine and beer will be available for purchase at the Kansas Wine and Beer
Garden.

The event will take place on Friday, September 10th from 6 – 8 pm in the Blue Stem Building,
at the corner of Grandstand Avenue and Bison Blvd. Tasting sessions will be one half-hour in
length. To ensure adequate quantities of food products and to comply with occupancy requirements,
admission is restricted to ticket holders. Tickets are free of charge and are available by registering
on the web, by phone, email or mail. Please note the general instructions as outlined below:

General Instructions:
1) You must have a ticket for admission to and participation in the tasting event. Please be
sure to select your first and second choice for your tasting time.
2) Please report to the Blue Stem building 15 minutes prior to your admission time.
3) Each person in your party must register individually.

                                Registration deadline is Friday, August 27 by 5 p.m.
